In 2010, I have visited an old folks house in Selangor. The concept of visit is not mainly on the donation part but is more towards making the elders happy. So, I was assign to plan activities with them share the loves with them. We made performance, played games and also had a sharing session with them. Older people have a sensitive heart and we need to be careful with our words while talking. In conclusion, the I had so much fun during the visit.
In 2012, my friends and I were given an amount of money and need to spend the money in respective house that we were assigned to go. We ended up need to help a single mother which her house got no furniture at all and not much food to sustain in a long period. We started by having a really long sharing session with the old lady and start off working to renew the house environment. We make some decorations and apply rubber mat on the floor. We also bought her new cooking utensils and detergent as well. This is really something that is totally new to me.
In 2015, my friends and I work on a donation project for the orphanage in Tawau, Sabah. We did a lot of things to raise fund. We make calls, send emails and make appointments with a lot of people to raise fund. Other than that, we also selling goods and foods regularly. We planned the trip tp Sabah really well and make time with the children. It feels really exciting because I have never been to Sabah or Sarawak before. I also learn a new dialect there. We received a warmth welcoming and we bid farewell on the same day. I feel the satisfaction of doing this project when we successfully passed on the money to the orphanage home.
